Personnel Profile
The original Shannon Harris was born in a remote area of Australia, and joined Starfleet at a young age, passing her Starfleet Medical courses with flying colors. Her qualifications as a doctor included pediatrics, OBGYN, and psychoanalysis. This latter skill allowed her to fill the ship's counselor position in the past, but she much preferred the confines of sickbay. Doctor Harris had a tendency to remain aboard ship for medical emergencies, but was known to go on away missions via shuttlecraft. Due to this, some suspected that she had an aversion to transporters. As was later found out, the answer was much more complicated.
The modern manifestation of Shannon was actually that of a sophisticated medical hologram accidentally created during a computer malfunction/transporter accident on stardate 52542.4. This accident occurred as a digital parsing error with the Mark I Emergency Medical Hologram aboard the USS Saratoga while patrolling the Federation border near Cardassian space during the Dominion war. The organic Shannon Harris ceased to exist during transporter activation, and was reconfigured into a distinct digital pattern in the EMH buffers. As a last-ditch effort to resolve the error, the ship's AI reintegrated her pattern as a sentient, self-aware holographic program minus the memory of her life before the accident, except that which was provided by her Starfleet record.
Shannon Harris continued her life as a sentient hologram aboard the Galaxy Class USS Republic, NCC-76241, until it's destruction during the Remnant Attacks of stardate 58851.
